consultations

Consultation extends to areas of academics, behavior, and/or social-emotional for parents, schools, and/or other individuals working with children in need of support. Consultation might include the development of a behavior plan, a classroom management system(s), staff professional development, classroom presentations, assistance in developing a school-wide system, support in putting strategies in-place at home to support academics/behavior, etc. An initial consultation (free of charge) can help to determine if learning disability testing is necessary, and/or what next steps would be most beneficial to your child. 

assessments

(Psycho-Educational/Independent Educational Evaluation): This process of learning disability testing includes (but is not limited to) a review of previous records, interview with parents/caregiver, teacher(s), and child, observation in learning environment, rating scales, standardized assessment (cognitive and academic), assessment report, meeting to review assessment results, and attendance at school IEP meeting. 

Educationally Related Mental Health Assessment: This includes (but is not limited to) a review of previous records, interview with parents/caregiver, teacher(s), child, and other mental health professionals, observation in learning environment, rating scales, assessment report, meeting to review assessment results, and attendance at school IEP meeting.

Interventions

Individual or small group counseling, focused on developing skills that will enable success in the learning environment. This includes (but is not limited to) the implementation of evidence-based curriculum targeting self-regulation skills, and social thinking.

Investment

  • Assessment (learning disability testing, behavior, and/or mental health) $800-$2500
  • First consultation FREE – then $80/hour
  • Intervention $50-80/hour
